Prepare Professionally for Skiing and Snowboarding
Dear winter sports enthusiast – the snow is already falling, and the beautiful winter atmosphere is all around. But before you start your ski or snowboard season and begin enjoying the pleasure of skiing, it’s important to remember a few key rules that apply on the slopes and ensure your body is physically prepared and your equipment and ski clothing are professionally fitted. Such important information is always valuable, especially when safety, satisfaction, and 100% of your enjoyment are at stake.

1. Consideration for others
Every skier should behave in such a way that no danger or harm is caused to others.
2. Control of speed and style
A skier should descend at a speed appropriate to their abilities, the type and condition of the slope, and the weather conditions.
3. Choice of direction
When descending, a skier must select their path in such a way as to avoid endangering skiers ahead of them.
4. Overtaking
Overtaking can be done on the downhill or uphill side, either on the left or right, but at a distance that does not restrict the freedom of the overtaken skier.
5. Crossing paths
When starting to ski on a slope or ski track, a skier should check upwards and downwards to ensure they do not create danger for themselves or others. The same rule applies when stopping on the slope.
6. Stopping
Avoid stopping on the slope, especially in narrow sections and areas with limited visibility. After falling, a skier should move off the ski track as quickly as possible.
7. Climbing
A skier should climb only along the side of the slope and, in poor visibility, should move completely off the slope. This also applies to skiers who descend on foot.
8. Complying with ski signs
Every skier must follow the ski signs placed on the slopes.
9. Accidents
In case of an accident, anyone nearby should rush to help the injured person.
10. Identifying yourself
Anyone, whether the person at fault, the injured party, or a witness, must provide their personal details in the event of an accident.

Ski Tips – take care of your fitness and equipment
Fitness
It’s important to maintain good physical condition not just before the winter season but throughout the year, so that our body and our system are fully prepared for skiing on the slopes. Not everyone has the time or motivation to exercise daily or frequently, so remember to do a quick but mandatory warm-up before every ski or snowboard trip. This will help prevent injuries and reduce the risk of falls (let’s hope there are as few as possible). We encourage all winter sports enthusiasts to engage in ski gymnastics!
Equipment
It should be professionally tailored to each individual’s abilities and needs.
Boots
Should be comfortable and measured with a ski sock. There should be no discomfort or pressure points, but there should be full freedom of movement.
Poles
The right ski pole is one where, when holding it and sticking it into the snow, your arm and forearm create a right angle.
Skis and Snowboard
They should be properly waxed, the edges sharpened, and the bindings adjusted according to your abilities, weight, and height.
Clothing
When going to the slopes, always remember the proper clothing: thermal active underwear, ski jacket and pants, warm gloves, helmet, goggles, or sunglasses.
